The PeeTGuard Story: A Tale of Two Frenchies
The company was founded in Ormskirk by Samantha Peet.
The concept was designed to save local authorities millions in lamp post maintenance and replacement.
The product is made from recycled plastic and ensures circularity and zero waste.
Samantha: "After moving from South Africa to the UK over 20 years ago, I never imagined my two French Bulldogs would be the ones to spark a business revolution. But as any dog lover knows, life with a male dog like Stitch comes with certain... challenges."
Stitch: "Challenges? I call it 'interior design.' I just love to mark anything at a height. It’s my way of saying hello to the neighbourhood!"
Samantha: "And my OCD means I need everything to look pristine. Seeing our street furniture suffer from that 'extra attention' led to my lightbulb moment. I realised we needed a protective collar that could be easily installed on street furniture to prevent degradation."
Stitch: "So, you’re saying I’m the inspiration for saving UK councils millions on treatment?"
Samantha: "Exactly! Not only does it protect the infrastructure, but it also creates a uniformed, aesthetic look for our streets. It turns a common problem into a sleek solution."
Maggie: "And what about me? I don’t mark anything."
Samantha: "Well, Maggie just sits there and looks pretty. She’s the reminder that our streets should look just as good as she does!"
